Book Launch- County Louth and the Irish Revolution 1912-1923- Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol.

So yesterday evening I and many other County Louth People from all over the country attended the Book Launch of “County Louth and the Revolution 1912-1923” Edited by the esteemed Donal Hall & Martin Maguire published by the Irish AcademicPresshttp://irishacademicpress.ie/…/county-louth-and-the-irish-…/.  at Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol.
The book has 13 Contributors who have produced the first ever local history of the county during this period. Figures such as Sean McEntee and Frank Aiken feature in detail, and stories of how the Civil War made a fiery battlefield of Dundalk and Drogheda!!!( some say the battlefield still exists!!)

I finally had the pleasure of meeting in person, the guest speaker of the Night Mr. Frank Aiken Jnr and we finally got to the bottom of that story published in the National Press of me “allegedly” being the great granddaughter of the Esteemed Frank Aiken!!! Lineage sorted….laughing commenced!!!! #Louth Heritage
